I've seen the JGB quite a few times and for me on piano Nickey Hopkins did the band justice,he was so fluent and steady that when he left I thought a big hole in the sound would appear.As it was the B-3 Hammond of both Merle and Howard proved how powerful that instrument was.For me it's a pick-um between the organ and a proficient piano player. As for Keith in the Jerry band I really do not remember ever seeing that combo.It goes w/o saying for the Dead I liked Keith much better than Brent...RIP all 5 of those dudes.Oh yea,John also I'm losing count w/ the deceased.
